Nursing Studies (QQI Level 5)

This full-time one year programme aims to provide the student with the necessary knowledge and skills to progress on to a nursing degree course at Higher Education in Ireland or the UK. It also provides students with the necessary preparation for a career as a Healthcare Assistant in Hospitals or in Nursing Homes.

€50 QQI Level 5 Certification Fee – Medical Card holders or those in receipt of a Social Welfare payment are exempt from this Certification Fee.

VTOS: If you are over 21 years of age, are unemployed and have been getting certain social welfare payments for at least 6 months you can apply for the Vocational Training and Opportunities Scheme (VTOS). Successful applicants can receive a VTOS payment for the duration of the course, instead of their social welfare payment. Small meal and travel allowances may also apply.
