Sports & Recreational Studies (QQI Level 4)

The one year programme aims to engage you in a range of sporting and recreational subjects.  The modules will be a mixture of practical and theory-based subjects.  There will be an opportunity to use the local Leisure Centre as part of this Programme.  Upon completion, suitable applicants may also progress to the Level 5 Sports, Nutrition and Injury Prevention programme.

There are no fees for this course.

VTOS: If you are over 21 years of age, are unemployed and have been getting certain social welfare payments for at least 6 months you can apply for the Vocational Training and Opportunities Scheme (VTOS). Successful applicants can receive a VTOS payment for the duration of the course, instead of their social welfare payment.  Small meal and travel allowances may also apply.
