Advanced Certificate in Business ADMINISTRATION FOR PUBLIC SECTOR (QQI Level 6)
This full-time one year programme is designed to enable learners to gain the knowledge, skills and competency to work independently or in a supervisory capacity in an administrative role in the public sector or to progress to higher education or training. Key areas of study are business administration, spreadsheets, banking and insurance, team leadership, economics and advanced IT skills. Level 6 awards (Advanced Certificates) provide enhanced progression into year two of higher education programmes where the higher programme is in a similar discipline. This mechanism is known as ‘advanced entry’. In some cases, a candidate with a level 6 award may be offered exemptions from elements of programmes within the first year. This is at the discretion of the higher education institution.

€80 QQI Level 6 Certification Fee. (Medical Card holders or those in receipt of a Social Welfare payment are exempt from this Certification Fee.)
VTOS: If you are over 21 years of age, are unemployed and have been getting certain social welfare payments for at least 6 months you can apply for the Vocational Training and Opportunities Scheme (VTOS). Successful applicants can receive a VTOS payment for the duration of the course, instead of their social welfare payment. Small meal and travel allowances may also apply
