Course Description

This course is an introduction to basic Electrical Skills.  It is very practical and hands on and ideal for those wishing to learn more about home electrics or to those returning to education, with an interest in electrical skills in general.  You will learn about the basic concepts of electricity: charge, current, conductors, insulators, the function of the circuit breaker/fuse and how to wire a plug correctly and safely.  You will learn about the formulas and calculations related to energy consumption and get to construct a simple circuit.  All will be carried out safely and adhering to the appropriate health and safety standards.
