Health service skills, with occupational therapy (QQI Level 5)

The aim of his full-time one year programme is to provide the learner with an understanding of treatment and therapeutic interventions in everyday activities in a variety of healthcare settings. 

On completion of this programme learners will have the skills, knowledge and competencies to work under supervision in a variety of healthcare settings, including as an OT Assistant, or to progress to further and or higher education and training in Ireland or the UK.

€50 QQI Level 5 Certification Fee – Medical Card holders or those in receipt of a Social Welfare payment are exempt from this Certification Fee.

VTOS: If you are over 21 years of age, are unemployed and have been getting certain social welfare payments for at least 6 months you can apply for the Vocational Training and Opportunities Scheme (VTOS). Successful applicants can receive a VTOS payment for the duration of the course, instead of their social welfare payment. Small meal and travel allowances may also apply
