Hotel and front office skills with barista (QQI Level 5)

This full-time one year programme will give you the unique opportunity to study hospitality at QQI Level 5 and to gain valuable work experience in local hotels and restaurants. During the programme, you will get the opportunity to attend 10 sampling days in the Culinary Arts Kitchen and Training Restaurant in Technological University of the Shannon (TUS). These 10 days will give you the opportunity to experience studying in AIT and to be in an advantaged position if you wish to progress to TUS to study in their Hospitality Department.

€50 QQI Level 5 Certification Fee – Medical Card holders or those in receipt of a Social Welfare payment are exempt from this Certification Fee.

VTOS: If you are over 21 years of age, are unemployed and have been getting certain social welfare payments for at least 6 months you can apply for the Vocational Training and Opportunities Scheme (VTOS). Successful applicants can receive a VTOS payment for the duration of the course, instead of their social welfare payment. Small meal and travel allowances may also apply.
